Internet is good or bad

The internet, the miracle invention of the 21st century has made the world upside down. Due to internet the life has become easy and comfortable. But internet has its advantages as well as disadvantages.

Undoubtedly, internet has many positive effects. By now internet search engines have been advanced and people can access any kind of information with in a very short time. As well as internet acts as a resources center for students, university students, scientists and university professors. For instance, today millions of books, journals and other resource materials are available in internet. These books are very helpful for their research and scholarly activities. Further, people can learn all sorts of new things through this internet.

Internet has provided a plat form for the businessmen. They can sell their products by sitting on chair in their home town. As well as, customers can order whatever they want through internet.

Internet is used in every sphere of life. It has brought the world closer. The world has become a globale village due to internet. Today communicating with friends and relatives in foreign countries is no longer a cosly affair. We can connect with them by just clicking a button. In addition to this, internet has become a good source of entertainment for busy and lonely people in the society. E-books, e-music, movies are a good example for this. There is no field untouched by internet today. Really internet has saved our precious time, energy, space and imprived the living standards of mankind.

As everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Internet also has affected the human lives in both ways, providing misinformation is a grate disadvantage of internet. There is no responsible person or authority for the information available in the internet. Today many people trust internet for information. Students use it for researches adults use it to find information. Such as medical advices, financial advices etc. Thus is a very sad state of affairs.

Addition to internet is another negative effect. According to a servey carried out by the Colombo University it is said that Sri Lankan office workers spend more than 2 hours in their office time on social networks like face book, messenger. Think how pathetic the situation is. Moreover, this situation has greatly affected to studies and day to day activities of childrens.

Today people have become less active because of this internet. Now they can order what they want by sitting on a chair. As well as they spend much time internet surfing World Wide Web sites. This is resulted many health problems and social problems in the society. For instance it is said that there is a gradual decrease or inter personal relationships due to excessive use of internet

Among these negative effects cyber bullying is anither aspect. Today many internet users knowingly or unknowingly expose their privacy to the social networks. This is led to many disasters in the society.

Therefore the user of internet should be aware of the proper use of internet to get the maximun benefit from it.
